Project Coordinator

Principal responsibilities:

  • Assist PMs with submittals, RFIs, and purchasing
  • Track material purchases, fabrication and deliveries to shop and field (shipping & receiving)
  • Anticipate the needs of field employees – project material needs, and schedule material deliveries
  • Maintain shop and field documentation
  • Create and track RFI log and submittal log
  • Create, update and maintain submittal library, MSDS, safety binder, certifications, installation instructions, O&M manuals, LEED data
  • Responsible for tagging tools, keeping tool log, and tracking
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, after conferring with project management
  • Assist in developing project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements
  • Maintain project schedule by coordinating activities, submittals, RFIs, resolving problems
  • Keep inventory of office- and shop-related items (shipping materials, packaging, shop supplies, paper, office supplies, etc.)
  • Create and maintain job photo log
  • Drive material to and from the field and pick-up materials/supplies from vendors as needed

Skills Required:

  • Understand Windows operating system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills

Education:

  • High school diploma; college degree preferred
  • General experience in all aspects of the glazing industry
