Position Summary:
Field foremen are responsible for overseeing daily operations on jobsites to ensure projects are completed in a safe and efficient manner. They closely with project management, shop foreman, and general contractors to coordinate field installation. The field Foreman will also help create and maintain project schedules, manage and train field staff, and ensure construction equipment is properly maintained. Field Foreman should be extremely organized with excellent time management, leadership, and communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role the following essential duties must be performed:
- Read project plans, drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Create and manage schedules and monitor attendance of the crew
- Oversee job site installation and maintain a high standard of quality
- Oversee construction sites and supervise the use of machinery and equipment
- Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment and enforce the proper use of safety gear
- Manage employees to ensure the project is kept on schedule
- Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery and personnel
- Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors
- Recruiting, hiring, training, managing and mentoring employees and contractors
- Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices and safety needs
- Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably
- Regularly reporting project status to supervisors, project managers or general contractors
- Lead by Example – show up for the day with all necessary tools, supplies, keys, provisions, etc.
Education and Experience:
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to drive projects to completion on time and within budget
- Ability to train, direct, and supervise workers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

- Foreman are responsible for the oversight and delegation of responsibilities and tasks to crew members, contractors, and other workers according to priorities and plans
